HSDD
The 4-item Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) screener was developed to screen specifically for presence or absence of HSDD in women. Three of the items address desire and 1 item addresses level of distress. The HSDD screener was developed and validated in women with HSDD, as confirmed by clinician diagnosis. An abridged five-item version of the 15-item International Index of Erectile Function was developed to diagnose the presence and severity of erectile dysfunction. Because of its simplicity and the favorable diagnostic properties reported here, the IIEF-5 could aid in decreasing the incorrect diagnosis of ED and decreasing the number of undiagnosed cases of ED worldwide.
